Call for inspection: Teufelberger Treemotion essential/pro

Date of publication: November 20th 2024.

As part of TEUFELBERGER’s commitment to quality and safety, TEUFELBERGER is requesting that you immediately check (i) the hardware of certain treeMOTION Essential/Pro product harnesses for corrosion damage and (ii) any rope and/or webbing used with the harness for abrasion, in addition to the inspection intervals specified in TEUFELBERGER’s instructions for use.

The high-strength aluminum utilized in the hardware of personal protective equipment ensures necessary performance characteristics of such hardware, but despite protective anodizing measures, oxidation and corrosion can occur. Various factors such as a salty atmosphere, excessive humidity, exposure to sea water or sweat, and contact with other metals can contribute to corrosion formation. Corrosion may increase the risk of abrasion of ropes and/or webbings that contact such hardware.
